Student Ministry

Whether you’re into graphic novels, short films or gonzo journalism (or even if you’re wondering why you’re at uni at all) we’d love to offer you our support. Christians in the Media aims to help students grow their relationship with God while studying towards a career in the media world.

We do not charge fees like most university clubs or groups – we are a non-for-profit organisation that allows media students and workers to meet together, attend events and encourage one another as they work in the media industry.

Our main goal is to connect tomorrow’s communicators with one another and with Jesus. We support anyone who is studying journalism, arts, media production, cultural studies, social inquiry, sound design, performance, visual communication, literature, film, or something similar.

Christians in the Media holds weekly Bible study groups at both the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and the University of Sydney (USYD), as well as several other Sydney universities. We also meet with students one-to-one to provide mentoring and friendship. In addition, students can also attend the various networking events and seminars that we hold throughout the year. These offer great insight into how to maintain integrity in the cut and thrust of the media world.
