Chain!!!

A holy man was having a conversation with God one day and said, ' God, Iwould like to know what Heaven and Hell are like.'

God led the holy man to two doors.

He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in.

In the middle of the room was a large round table. In the middle of the

table was a large pot of stew, which smelled delicious and made the holy man's mouth water.

The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to be famished.

They were holding spoons with very long handles, that were strapped to their arms and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful. But because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths.

The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering.

God said, 'You have seen Hell.'

They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same as the first one.

There was the large round table with the large pot of stew which made the holy man's mouth water..

The people were equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished and plump,
laughing and talking. The holy man said, 'I don't understand.'

It is simple,' said God. 'It requires but one skill.

You see they have learned to feed each other, while the greedy think only of themselves.'

Its estimated 93% won't forward this. If you are one of the 7% who will, forward this with the title '7%'.

I'm in the 7%

Remember that I will always share my spoon with you.

The second half of the first day of camp

The Giant Swing was also da best!!!! We were hoisted in pairs up to the top of an a frame and we pulled the rope and plummeted. The Hulk Monkey was severely squashed by the harness, but she didn't mind, because it saved her life. We went the full way and Elfy screamed a lot.

Elfy is Emily and she's Elfy because she was was in her sleeping bag and looked like an egg -don't know how she managed it.

We quickly fell into a routine - hoist the heavy people us, run so that your under them when they swing, take a picture of them screaming, then argue over whos next. I had the greatest time!!

The evening activity was interesting...After dinner - the line went on forever: why am i always late for dinner???- we went and played bingo. BINGO!!!! BINGO!!!!! Angela - who the boys say are indestructable- won. Which was funny because she spent the whole time wishing not to win..

Then we played trivia and I knew all the Harry Potter and Twilight questions - obsessive reading does come in handy! Ha! And we came 5th.

Then we went to bed, cracked up, showered in the boys bathroom - boys weren't alowed in our lodge and and the girls bathrooms were full . And took films. Which I can't work out how to post. Ange didn't like the camera - but she showered in the boys toilet with me, so I'm not complaining.

The first half of the first day of camp!

The first day of camp it felt like we were constantly running late. We were more than an hour late for lunch, and then our first activity was Giant Flying Fox. It was basically a giant flying fox, from the top of the cliff to the bottom. Yuna went first and after that a long line of asian boys. As soon as I could I went. And after I harnessed up I went into the tiny boat sticking to the top of the cliff. I walked the plank and screamed. But Hulk-Monkey wouldn't be scared of such things as falling of a cliff!!!

So Hulk-Monkey raised her arms as if showing of non existant muscles and roared with exhileration -that is the coolest shirt. I begged Cheese Man to throw himself off the cliff after the Hulk-Monkey, but he refused.

After we finished the flying fox, we went canoeing - afternoon tea in between- and it was cool. Elfy and I went together, and we were quite good. I sat at the back and had more power than her. Also I didn't soak my new shoes. We very helpfully found the volley ball the volley ballers were trying to lose, and then we rafted up.

After we rafted up, people walked across the boats, while others held it all together. Then we played tip with a ball - in canoes- and our team was good at it - thank you for silent ball!!!

JUST GOT HOME!!!

Got back from Camp!!! Mum was there to pick us up, and we saw Barrak! - an adorableer puppy you will not find.

Elfy and Ange and Dianah were all in the same bus and I was all on my lonesome on the way home.

Tell you more later - gotta go!!

Pics Of My Dog With Green Skin!!!!

Radish asked for a picture of Barrak. So I went our in the cold, woke Barrack up, only to see that his skin had gone green.

Hope you like the pics.

Given the Chance

I found this on the net and I think it rocks. I changed it a bit so that it applied to me. If you get my blog by mail, would you please be bothered to look up my blog (http://www.christiansinthemedia.org/steele/hannah/) and post a comment.

If you don't I will post it for you.

Given the chance, I'd fly away
like a fairy,
falling through the sky
perfect and graceful.

Given the chance, I'd buy
lots of things,
and I'd get rid of all the junk in my room
maybe put it in the back lane.

Given the chance, I'd always eat
cheese, tomato and pasta
for every meal
meals that happened when I was hungry

Given the chance, I'd enter
every day with a smile on my face
work to be positive
and enjoy little things.

Given the chance, I'd borrow every
book I've ever wanted to own
from Leichhardt Library
and never return them.

Given the chance, I'd wear
whatever I like,
no dressess or skirts
and definetly no shoes.

Given the chance, I'd work out
what's stopping me.

What about you?

Soggy in the Sogginess

Today Gran and Soggy came over. It was the first time I ever saw Soggy as a good, responsible dog.

Last time he came over he had just escaped from Gran, had cost her $$$ and needed a vacation.

He escaped from our yard quite amazing, its a solid brick wall all the way around - Hannah left the back door open (shh).

This time he was bigger, fluffier, about 11 1/2 years older a then Barack, and in charge. It was the first time I've ever seen Barack so utterly beaten, and you know what, he deserved it.

But Barack sat for me!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! Thank you Gran 4 the squeaker.

Also Barack can now play the 'come game'.

Smile.

Found this on the net....

I’m almost an atheist myself

There must be 60,722 gods in the world that people believe in

There are 60,721 I don’t believe in

I only believe in one God and atheists believe in no God - You see how close we are together

Homework

We had a double sport period. My class and another year 7 class jogged - 'you're going to fast!!'- did starjumps -thats meant to be bad for your body- and push ups - and they couldn't be girls ones.

Then we split into class groups and played t-ball. I miss my old class. Where you new who could catch the ball and threw it to them. Also -because of silent ball- most people could catch. Also the teams were about even. Janeck got out every time because he threw the bat. Once he hit the teacher, the time after he missed a boys head by 10cm.

I did maths for 1 hour and I didn't finish it. Sigh.

Email me, I need company, I still have science, english and history to finish.

Socialising

We took Barack to the dog park. We let him of leash and then picked him up and dragged him to talk to the dogs. There were for soggy type dogs, and 3 bigger ones. All the other dogs went swimming but Barrak was too scared for that. He kept racing around, really fast, then going to hide behind Mum.

We had a great time. Abro came in and asked me "Was there any dogs??".

He is now rocking the computer, speaking in a lisp and fideling with the camera.

Weekend - YES!

Its the weekend.

Yesterday I went to get registered for netball - YES WE ARE DOING SATURDAY SPORT!!!!!!!- and we have a new uniform. It is black lycra, and feels like a swimming costume - ugh. Also it is a dress instead of a skirt and shirt. Oh well, still glad to be playing netball.

Today we went to the church workshop, Remi, Violet and Sophie decided I was going undercover as Miss Isabelle Brown, Imaginary supermodel, with a plan to kill them. That meant a lot of re doing my hair - up, down, in out- making me walk as if I was confident, speaking with an accent.

Then we re-watched the karate kid, and he won!! I knew that already, but it was fun to watch.

Dad is leaving to do another wedding. Soph is sulking because I only give piggy backs on Sunday.

Tomorrow I am going to try to ride to school - wish me luck!
