The Sock was taken from the leader

At Crossfire, we had a big sock wrestling competition, the final was Sam vs Justin. Sam is the (Old) man, Justin is the aspiring man. Before they started Soph (Sam's wife) said, to open the wrestle 

"Now, this is a make or break moment, Sam if you lose, then your an old man, Justin if you lose, then your just a kid, your reputations are on the line.....but no pressure."

They stepped onto the mat, knelt down, and began. In the first 3 seconds of the game, Justin grabbed Sam's sock, and although Sam held onto his sock for about 5 minutes, it was clear who was going to win. 

Sam then spoke to us about training in godliness. It was a really good talk, and he did some really cool illustrations. I might put my outline up later......or not......

Kamila won the silver ball, and instead of wrapping it in foil (usual custom) she wrapped it in green crepe paper with pink and blue spots. 

All in all, it was a fun, exciting, funny, (excitingly) wacky, rocking (roxing da church!!) double up friday, and I am looking forward to the next one (hint, hint...)

Thorpe's Pool

Today we went to Ian Thorpe's pool. It looked very fancy and was very hard to get to by car......But once inside it was very disappointing. There was 2 baby pools and a lap pool, and that was it. There was no area to play, there was also a gym, tween gym, canteen and changing rooms. 

Sportingly Friday

I went to Crossfire, and we had a double up night. It was lots of fun!! We played wall ball, and we dunked peoples head in jelly!

At school, netball was canceled!! Again!! For no reason whatsoever!!!!! Lots of annoyed peoples in PSSA uniforms were walking around at lunch.....

My class did bin ball, and I was on Ben's team. We won twice, and the third game was undecided. I came home feeling sporty. 

I also had band and guess what???? We are performing on Wednesday!!!!!!!!

'Ahhhhhhh' states the Fluffle

Fluffle has turned one-syllabled! If he wants something, he pints or goes 'boo' or 'arr'. 

This evening, mum said we'd check his understanding, and told him to go to the door, and go to bed. He went to the door (which was closed) and walked into it, he did it about 5 times in a row, before Nomolos walked over and opened the door for him. Mum laughed, and said something about Nomolos being 'had'.

Finally!!!!

I have finally finished my maths homework!

My class ran our buddy class' sport today, we taught them how to throw and catch, and run and dribble, and duck and we totally exhausted ourselves!!!!! They are very hard to keep busy. Miss Arendts was watching with a satisfied smile on her face, we asked why, and she said that she was watching us get what we deserve. No one knew what to say after that....

Now I will (try to) go finish my spelling!

The not so bad Sub

Today we had a sub. She gave us 30 of 684 x 987 problems, and 15 minuets in which to do it in. Surprisingly, most of my class, finished on time, I did not. Neither did a few other people, about 5 others, my class (not me) is very scary (particularly Radish and Tiva).

We played binball, and my teams captain was Victor, he chose Radish, Tiva and Tina (that is only the girls) were on my team. The other team started suiciding, which kind of defeated the point. We did win 3 times though!! Then we played a different type of game, which was actually really good, I had a good time. We also played silent ball, and David got me out.

Today my dad went to speak at a gaol!! Go dad!!!!!

Fluffle is still unsure about going to school tomorrow, tomorrow I have a "sub", and the boys got their reports! They got good marks....except for a few problems with neatness........

Nomolos lost his debate, but nevertheless had a good speech.

My year has decided that our (yr 6) show, will be based on 1 of these themes: In the Night, The streets, At The Movies or The 60's. Which one would you want to perform??

I also feel I am doing very well not to get sick.

Netball Training.......

....was cancelled!!!! Again!!!!!!!! But not because of the rain as it was last weeks, but because Miss Richards wasn't there. Miss Richards, where were you??????

Oh well, I can't think of anything I'm suppossed to be doing today, apart from school..........which shouldn't count.......

I wonder who will be sick today? It won't be Nomolos, because he is determined to go to school, it won't be me, for likewise reasons, it might be Fluffle, if mum lets him again, or it might be mum. I couldn't imagine it being dad though.........

Sunday Night News

This is my 70th post!!! I am still aiming for 100, but its good to hit 70.

Today Kath did our talk at CrossFire, and she talked about do not worry. she was very good.

Today we had heaps of uni students over, and some of them have not yet gone.

Stinky*

It is such beautifyl day, the type of day when speling shouldnt matter, but it still does. Grrrrr.

Now I am wondering whether to go onto spellcheck, I didn't.....

Moving on from my problems with spelling..... (and its problems with me....)

Today I am going to church, via crossfire, then my family is going to have a 'family photo', then we have people over at 4, I'm not sure what they are coming for.....................

Then dad will go to church, I guess, and tomorrow, I have to go to school**!!!!!!

The Technicolour Dream Coat

We went to the park, and had a picnic.

Nomolos is watching Joseph and The Technicolour Dream Coat, again!!!! I like the bible story of the 12 boys (what happened to Diana??) and the dad, the brothers who sold him to slavery, how he became 2Nd best to Pharaoh, how in the famine the brothers came for food.

I really like the story, but I hate the narrator, who is always there, doing nothing, but being a main character. I also dislike the way the children of our time drift in and out of the story line, because it makes it seem so much of a joke.

I do like the Elvis Pharaoh though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am very tired, but I had a good time playing hide and seek.

Netball canceled

Nomolos* is less sick, Fluffle, is more sick, I am not sick at all, so have not been excused from tiding duties...but I do get dessert......

Netball was canceled ;-( which is o so sad ;-( So instead my class went to Darrel Jacksons, which is the local community park. The park was pretty cool, there was a spider web like climbing frame, which the boys in my class took possession of. The PSSA (school sport) netballers, and friends, went to play netball, and guess what??? Miss Arendts played!!!!! So we had Radish, Jayne, Tina, Tiva, Totura, Miss Arendts and I, we were playing for fun, and were quite even. I Love Netball.

Then, when we were getting ready to leave, some girls, i.e. me, and Moo and Totura, thought it would be a good idea to invade the boys "lair". Totura started climbing and fell, Moo got almost to the top, but then a boy jumped on her head (!!!) I was the only one to make it to the top, unfortunately (or fortunately, depending who's side you were on) Mr. Rivers yelled out "Last one down gets detention" so I didn't do anything** to the boys. I was (am) so proud of myself because I got to the top, because I am really competative***.

Angie Pantzez* Birthday

Yesterday, I went straight from school to a friends party, at her flat. It was a pool party, and luckily the pool was heated. There were about 12 of us plus little brothers and sisters, and heaps of people brought water baloons and guns. As soon as we got in the pool, there was a war, which you cold be part of, everybody for themselves.


We all had a great time (am speaking on behalf of others there) and all to soon it was time to go home.

I need to get ready for band, because otherwise I will miss the bus.

Also, I am hungry.....

Colours of the Rainbow

This morning I have already had breakfast, and I have to be there early, but I don't have to where my badge, because, guess what, today is rainbow day!!!!!!!! I get to where whatever I want! LOL, and bring a gold coin for the starlight foundation, but bring on rainbow day!!!!!!!!!!

There is a competition to have all the colours of the rainbow, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet.

The Random thoughts of Hannah

Today my class went and listened to 3/4 of 6SB's debate, the last debate was whether schools should allow chewing gum, and the affirmative had to chew it the whole way through the speech. LOL.

I had my clarinet lesson, which was good, and I was posed with the question, would I spend $2, 968 on a clarinet?? I opted no, because I have never had a problem with my clarinet.

I am having a lot of trouble doing piano, because, since I do it by myself, I always seem to have trouble practicing.

Abraham has started this annoying bug joke, it was funny the first time, and the second...... But the 100th time??? Not so much.

Sickness

Other is sick, but it doesn't stop him playing the computer. I am not as tired as I thought I would be, but whatever. It is sport day today, so probably something interesting will happen.

Other was sick yesterday, and the day before that Fluffle, but whatever. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to be sick, but I do want a reprieve of doing the dishes, like they have, (hint hint).

Nothing else really to talk about, except, maybe that Fluffle has a problem thumb sucking... and at 7 yrs old, its probably a bad habit.

Sound of Music

Just finished watching the sound of music, it is o so sad. Why did there have to be a war???

Lesil, Frederich, Brigitta, Kurt, Louisa, Marta, Gretal are such lovely names, such a good movie.

I hate how Rolfe became a Nazi, I love how the captain stayed on the "good" side. I love how innocent Gretal is, I love all the songs, I hate how selfish the Baroness is, I love how she goes OK in the end, it is definitely going to be my favourite movie. I love the way they get away, I love the way the movie starts off not about serious things, but about little things. I love that they end up performing, I love how strong the Captain is, I hate the way how Lesil feels gives them away.

I have a Love/Hate relationship with this movie (LOL)

I am 11 going on 12.......

Yesterday, we watched The Sound of Music, now please don't spoil it for me, because my parents said we only got halfway through (it did seem like the end). But I really liked the whole "7 kids idea" (2 boys 5 girls) I also like the way Maria is so understanding to them all, but I don't understand how she captures all their attention at once, you know, a 16 (going on 17) yr old girl and a 4 yr old girl, aren't exactly going to have the same interests. But it was good so far, we are up to the (first) ball, and the Captain and Maria, just did an example of dancing.

I didn't sleep very well, but I still have to go to school but luckily the athletics carnival is canceled, thank you o so much rain!!!!!

Clarinetting

Just got back from band camp, and I was very excited that the Adeneys (Princesses Violet, Bronte, Remi and Harriet) were there to see us. I am a clarinetist and I am particularly fond of clarinetting, which is blowing random notes at expecting people to listen.

The concert was lots of fun, and the whole camp was really good. LinnaBel, who was my tutor, was very funny, and her lolly smuggling ways were just bad. Rory and Kira, or was it Kira and Rory (they swapped name tags) were a continual source of enjoyment for us all.

But the best thing that happened today, was that when we went to the Adenys house (8 people in a 7 seater car..... LOL) We had another concert, and guess what???? Remi Rockz as a CLARINETIST!!!!!!! She, never having played before, managed to play out of my really hard reed, and it is about 4 sizes bigger than a begginers........So...........Go, Go Remi, Go Go Remi*!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


*Remi's Sisters (Violet, Harriet and Bronte) also rock (z), Bronte at Flute, Harriet at dancing on the chair, and Violet at the whole "I am a 5 yr old cheerleader who rockz!" I just felt like raving about a (maybe**) future clarinetists.......

Listening to the fridge.....

I was woken this morning by the drone of the fridge, which is odd, because usually, I am woken up by a little brother or 2, who are much louder than the fridge.

This morning, my brother and I are going to band camp (or for peoples like Radish, Band Weekend Workshop), but first we are going to church.

Band camp was good, yesterday, there were about 9 clarinets, 3 were from different schools, 6 of us were 1St's and the rest were 2Nd's. I love being a first clarinet, because, I always get to sit in the front, also the firsts get the melody more than the seconds.

Apart from that, I can't think of anything else to say, except that apart from dad (finishing that sermon which he wrote last night....) and I no one is up yet, it is very quiet, and you can still actually hear the drone of the fridge.

Which I Just got back from, it was very good, full of running, lots of noise, heaps of lollies, cake, pizza for lunch, my brother joined at the last second, made a knew friend Millie, met Mrs Chans son Ben, Belinda (radishes sister) was our tutor, all in all.......

Morning Blues

My little bit of a little brother Fluffle, is going to a chess workshop, he is going to be there at 8:30 and it ends at 3:00, my poor dad has to stay there the whole time.

Apart from that, I don't think anything is happening, oh wait, the band weekend workshop (grrrrrr, Radish)

Fluffle just came into the room in tears, because he lost some footy cards................

The boys in my class don't, but they are not very sporty. The boys at my brothers school they like them so much they have to have rules to avoid banning the cards.

I have 65 minuets until I have to leave. Better eat breakfast.......

Thank Goodness It's Friday

I was late for band again!!!

I also left my glasses at school, so without my mum, I would of missed the bus.

Band was good, then we had assembly, which was really, really, long.

After recess, we had the public speaking competition, and Chris and Tina (Christina, LOL) won, Katie is reserve, some very rude jokes about how to get Chris or Tina injured and out of the running followed, (don't think you need to know those....)

Then we played Bin ball, Kevin and Viv were captains, I was on Vivian's team with Chris (The winner), Haisen, Royce, David, Jayne, Ben and a few others.....

The first game we won, the second game the sun was in our eyes and we lost, and the third game undecided...........

We were quite even teams then.

Guess what!! I have no maths that is calling!!!!!! Which is good, because then I don't have to do it. We have a band camp tomorrow.

Not Eating Breakfast.......

This morning I am not eating breakfast, I don't know why I'm not yet, but I'm not.

I have to go to band soon, I am hoping for a perfect song, but I will probably have to settle for an ok song, and I will be late, Again!!!!!!!!! How do I know???? Well, its with the bus............

Bad Mood

I am in a ridiculously bad mood, snapping, and scowling at everyone. Other is sulking around, in tears, and Fluffle is being a nuisance.

Of course this is my opinion, and I am sure the other members in my family would have different opinions.

Now the boys are having a fight about chess.......

Oooops!!!! Now I am part of it.

Mum is making dinner, Fluffle is now explaining chess to us.

I am going to do clarinet, in a bad mood, really fast.

Homework

Hi, I am very tired, and not at all looking forward to clarinet.

Poor mum has a headache, and so do I, Fluffle is walking around in tears, and Other is leaning onto the floor, humming.

Other and Fluffle are acting weird because of homework, or more accurately: non-finished homework, or in others case, last minute homework which is not homework homework.

I am not looking forward to doing clarinet, or dinner but I am looking forward to netball.

Boys are both being o so annoying at the moment, or is it me????? If it is me, then the picture is probably how my temper looks like at the moment. LOL.

Deadline

I am eating breakfast (funny how often I seem to do this) and am thinking about how I have to get to school on time for my library shift. Its not that I don't like being a library moniter, its just every week I forget and when I remember I think Oh no!!

Apart from that, my class is being split today, and I am going to 5SS, with 3 boys and Radish. All I am going to say is Radish, you so better be there!!!!!!!!!!!

Better keep eating breakfast, I have a deadline to meet.

Somebody please come and stop my brother singing!!!!! He is throwing his voice out like a demented opera singer! Now he is whistling!!!!! Grrr!!!!! Stoppit!!!!!! I am trying (not very hard) to do maths. Whistling is growing louder, accompanied by piano.

Computer Family

Just got back from clarinet, mum is in bed, and boyz are on the computer, doing some racing game..........

I am on the computer blogging......

Wherever my dad is, he is likely on the computer doing something.

We are so computer dependant, I mean we fight over the computer, and we have 3 computers, and still its not enough!!!!!!! Is that healthy????? Are other family's like this????

My mathletics is calling, it is very good at this, at least, I had my clarinet lesson, so that I don't have to do that!

half/half

School was half/half today.

We had a sub teacher, which was bad. We did our project, which was good. We played bin ball which was good. We had interrelate, which was alright, but embarrassing.

The worst thing was that I had a disagreement with a boy in my class. We don't get on at the best of times, and at the moment we are sitting near each other so it was pretty predictable we would disagree. I think I should move seats.

Oh well, I am quite tired today,

I am sitting here, having breakfast, wishing I didn't have to go to school.

Moving on from school.

Dads phone was found!!!!!! I don't think I told you that he lost it, but today he found it and we are all quite glad about that.

We have slowed down our internet, and it is the first 10 days in the month and we have used it all up!!!!!! People in the flat to blame for that. Except their internet was off when the internet ran out............? Will ask dad.

Better go do something to get ready for school as I have finished breakfast.

Telapathy

My brother has to hand in a model of a volcano on Thursday, and It is taking him such a long time to finish it. I have done half of my homework, so although it is still calling, it is getting fainter. I just finished the book My Funny Valentine, and it is very good, I don't think its one of my favourites, but it is quite good.

Nothing else to say except, Now my Clarinet is calling, it is amazing how even my clarinet has learned telepathy.

Ready,.......;..

Today, I was all ready for school by 8:05, which, for me, is a record, I wasn't tired, I was just ready, except for one thing.......I didn't have a clean shirt. They were all sitting in the "get washed" pile on the floor, I dumped them all in the washing machine (Mum was out, with Sol) and waited, and waited, and waited. Finally, by 8:45, I decided I couldn't wait much longer, I grabbed my "Nearly but not quite dry shirt" and walked out to the bus stop.

I waited by the stop for ages, the bus was late, and therefore, I was 7 minuets late for school and I had been ready so long ago.

We did a writing task, on Mobile phone towers, if we liked hem, thought they were necessary etc. Most people didn't know what to say, what would you say, I didn't know, we only had 20 minuets.

We also had music and drama, and that was OK, I am so bad at drama though, I know what I would do if I was picked, but I hate being picked and I look down when the teacher is choosing. I am such a scaredy cat!!!!!!

Prince Caspian

Today My friends Fish, Radish and Tiva and I, are going to watch Prince Caspian.

It totally weirds me out because Fishes birthday is in August, but I think it is her birthday party, Fish, can you confirm this????

What else is happening today????

Well, we went to the library, Thanx so much mum ;-), I borrowed 5 books, how sad is it that I've read 3 of them already???

I am debating putting My Sisters a Pop Star, as a favourite book on my profile, but i probably won't.

Crossfire

Today my youth group, Crossfire, went bowling. There were 5 leaders and 3 kids, Me, Rio and Nick de American.

We got to the bowling place, and split in to a girls group and a guys group.
Kath (Leader) won the Girls, Nick de American, won the boys, the Kath and Nick the leader swapped places, this time Nick de American and Nick the Leader won.

Nick de American was the overall winner, but amazingly, on percentages, the Girlz were the overall winners! Go Girlz!!!!!

Cheese Man, Net Ball Shooting Star and X

Today we had our cousins over, we had B.H. (who is our aunt) Cheese Man (mentioned previously) Net ball Shooting Star and X. There little sister, Gem, was sick.

We played around with the net ball, then we went to the park at played sardines, 44 homes, tips and hide and seek.

We were getting quite tired, and Fluffle was crying, and so we went home.

We then constructed a marvel out of lego, imaginext and the old mouse trap game, and they went home.

I was the only girl there, but I had heaps of fun, because I was the oldest.

Cheese Man is still taller than me though!

Unfourtunate

Today, my class played bin ball, instead of going into groups with the rest of the primary, as we normally do on Fridays, we played our own class sport.

We almost always play bin ball on Wednesdays, an therefore are very good at it, we are also very competitive playing it, and as we are stooping, hands in front of our legs, to block the ball, we have fun playing bin ball, and we like winning against each other.

The worst thing about bin ball, is that Fish and I are never on the same team. We are the only non Asian girls in our class, and we are always separated, maybe everyone fears putting us together???

Today D.K. and H.P. were captains, I was on David's team with Radish and Little Big Mouth, Fish and Tiva, were on H.P.s team.

My team lost, and Radish was the last person left on our team, she was Binnie until the end, and at the end, she tried did really well, and it was unfortunate that we lost. But of course I would say that, I was on that team.....

Band gone Bad?

Today, I had band, and since I am a 1st clarinet, I am not meant to be late......

But I was anyway, the bus should come more than once every half hour........

Moving on from my problems with public transport........

Band was really good today, sometimes we only have new songs, which no one knows, other times we only have old songs which everyones bored with, but today, we had a good song, with players who had practiced, and it was brilliant.

Isn't it amazing that only last week when we played it, we never wanted to see it again?

The end of band, was mainly a relief, because, you know, sooner or later we would have had to move on from that perfect song to an unperfect one, but it wasn't a relief, because guess how many chairs had to be put away??????

Piggy Came Back!!!!

Piggy was back at school today, she backed my theory that we hadn't been at the beach, but still my friends say

"of course we were."

Sport for tomorrow was cancelled in advance, which makes me feel gloomy, because it means that with 160 extra people at school, there is likely to only be a boring afternoon.

We had buddies today, and I have 2 buddies both of them are delightful, and I am sad to leave each Thursday, except that, you know, lunch calls.

I am currently meant to be doing my mathletics, and I am, but slowly, due to blogging, but yeah.

Moving on from what I am meant to be doing, do you think the picture is cute???? If it existed, would it be a pet you would want to own?????

Back to school

I went to school today, and I was accused of having a secret meeting at the beach with the other 3 girls who had been away yesterday. I told them of course I wasn't at the beach, they said I was, and I got sun burnt (in the rain), and that's why my nose was pink (it was pink from the cold), silly friends.

I also had my camp photos developed, and I have a lot of funny photos of my friends and teachers, I might post one later

Still Sick

I am still sick, but whatever, I just watched mum and her-best-friend tidy up the house.

We had Seafood salad for lunch,

No Netball

Today netball was cancelled, which is a big disappointment, I mean sure its freezing, raining and the courts are wet, so it should have been obvious, but it was still a big blow, when they told us, no netball.

I am not feeling very well, so maybe it is a blessing netball was canceled, but I still want it to be on.

Moving on from netball, and why it was cancelled, I have some maths homework calling.....

Mum just said
"I'm glad there was no netball training today, I think it would have been mean"

So maybe I'm just wrong?

Junior Pictionary

Yesterday we played junior pictionary, it was quite complicated, but very funny and amazing whose good at drawing. We played
Mum and Fluff vs Other and I, the winner being Mum and Fluff,
Then Mum and Me vs Other and Fluff, Mum and me being the winner.

By this point we could see a pattern forming.

Then Other and Mum vs Fluff and I, and Guess what, we broke the pattern!!!! We won.
Then Mum said Other had to win so we redid the last game and finally he won.

We went to bed late, again!

This morning I slept in again, Again!!! it wasn't a very good sleep in though because in my dreams I could here dad getting ready for church.
