Caravan and Church
Yesterday we went to a caravan park, and it had a heated pool, a spa,
you could rent carts, which you peddled, there was a water slide, and
a giant jumping pillow, a playground, and a games room. And it was
very cool.
This morning we went to church, and they had heaps of songs,
apparently before they had more, and they had a Sunday school, and
they did some Hello song, which I didn't understand. We did communion -
in church - which they do every week.
Australia Zoo
Tasmainian Devils
There were a lot of tasmanian devils at Australia zoo and there was a
sign that showed you the shape of their skull.
red kangaroos
At Australia Zoo you could feed the red kangaroo's and someone bought
some kangaroo feed, then after using some, gave the food to me.
wombats
At the wombats enclosure there was a wombat that was awake and moving!
The other one went behind the keeper who was in the enclosure and
stated to dig a hole.
birds of prey
The bird of prey were caged, and you couldn't go in there, or you
might become prey.
There was a wedge tailed eagle, which is the only Australian Eagle.
tiger temple
At the Tiger Temple, one of the tigers, was trying to attack the
keeper, by putting it paws on the keepers head, there was also one who
was playing with a ball, and the 3rd one was trying to get the ball,
so it attacked the tiger.
elaphantasia
Elaphantasia was in the part of the zoo which said South East Asia,
the elephants were from Asia, and if they weren't in their enclosure,
they were at the Crocoseum show. It was quite a long walk from their
place to the crocosweum.
otters
When we went to see the otters, the show was on, before the otters got
fed, they would jump up, almost begging for the food. They pretty
much don't get wet when they go under water, but when the get out,
they looked soaked, but they're actually warm.
Crocoseum show
At the Crocoseum, there were birds-like the black necked stalk, called
the jabberoo-elephants, crocodiles-duh- and the crocodile could strike
from 5-6m away from the waters edge, in a short time. If you were in
that range, it would be most likely that you would be caught between
his jaws, and if you were, you would have little of no chance of
getting out.
turtles
The turtles were on the other side of the tortoises, and they can
stretch their necks quite far. I patted them, and most of them just
went into the water, trying to get away from me.
tortoises
There is a big difference between turtles and tortoises the difference
is-apart from the spelling-that tortoises have feet and claw, and
turtles have hands, with fingers stuck together, turtles ate also in
the water a lot more then the tortoises.
What I did today? Great Keppel Island
Today we went to Great Keppel Island & we went on the coral tour and
played on the beach.
trip across
On the way across on the ferry I got to sit in the captains chair for
a few minutes.
then mum and hannah looked around the gift shop for along time and dad
was outside playing on his iPhone.
lunch
At lunch there were some birds that I had never seen before and they
were really cool and I fed them and while feeding them I noticed that
when you threw the food at them they stood still for a second then
they went for it.
pouring water on hannah, solomon
I had great fun at the beach with my swimming cap cause water did not
go through so I could carry water in it and I drenched sol three times
and he chased me and I escaped and I drenched hannah once.
When we went to the beach we went goggling and it was really
frustrating when I went because there was no fish because the others
had scared them away.
trip back, getting tied up
On the trip back the ships crew tied me up in a life jacket then tied
the same ropes to a metal bar(for a joke).
What I learned on the coral tour?
before I went on the coral tour I thought the whole ground would be
glass but only the middle was & here is what I learnt.
stag coral
Stag coral got its name because the things that stick out of it look
like stags antlers.
brain coral
brain coral was called brain coral because it looked like a human
brain and they get very big and they can hide fully grown great white
sharks.
spider shell
Aidrian showed us a spider shell and he got us to sing spider
shell(spider pig but instead of pig shell).
cone shell
cone shells are very dangerous and Aidrian told us that once a woman
came up to him with a cone shell and asked what it was and Aidrian
threw it of the side of the boat.
fish feeding on the side of the boat
When Aidrian started feeding the fish I thought it looked cool but
when he threw it in the water all the fish went for it and there was a
really big fish called sushi and when sushi ate sushi did not even go
for it sushi just sucked in the water around it and it went into
sushi's mouth and sushi filtered the water through his gills.
wishing well
Aidrian tried to trick us into thinking the glass bottom boatwas a
wishing wellbut it did not work.
adrians jokes
Adrian told us some jokes, and he said "Why is the sand wet?? Because
the Sea Weed", "what do you catch if you go fishing with a sausage as
bait??Snags"
